Tasha Lewis is an artist from Indianapolis, Indiana whose sculptural and installation works combine the historic photographic process of cyanotype with paper sculpture, digital negatives, stitching, and magnets. She graduated from Swarthmore College in 2012 with high honors and a dual degree in English Literature and Studio Arts. Since then she has exhibited her work in galleries in Philadelphia, PA; Indianapolis, IN; New York, NY; Cambridge, MA; Sarasota, FL and Grand Rapids, MI. In her work she has explored a new form of taxidermy by creating scientific specimens that break out of their containers. Now a resident of New York City, Lewis continues pushing the limits of her sculptural process while working to create human forms. In 2014, she was an Artist-in-the-Marketplace resident at the Bronx Museum.
